University of Basra organizes a course on the use of Tetra Primer ARMS_PCR technology in the diagnosis of single nucleotide polymorphisms

The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized a course entitled Using Tetra Primer ARMS_PCR Technology in Diagnosing Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms

The course, presented by Dr. Rafid Mohammed Karim, Dr. Najm Mohsen Ali and Dr. Mustafa Sami Fadagh, covered two aspects: The theoretical aspect addressed the identification of single nucleotide polymorphisms and their distinction from mutations. As well as their relationship to health and many diseases and syndromes in humans and other living organisms. As for the practical aspect, the participants moved to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and chose one of the syndromes for the purpose of designing special quadruple primers for one of the single nucleotide polymorphisms related to the syndrome.

The course aimed to teach how to design quadruple primers through the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) for the purpose of diagnosing single nucleotide polymorphisms without resorting to the use of restriction enzymes.
