
Under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajil, Director General of the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra, the Center at the University of Basra held a special celebration on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the presence of a number of faculty members and employees at the Center. The celebration witnessed an atmosphere of friendliness and solidarity to celebrate this special day. The celebration included a variety of cultural and religious events and activities. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and prayers for the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. On this occasion, faculty member Dr. Najm Mohsen Aziz, Head of the Culture and Society Committee at the Center, delivered an influential speech in which he emphasized the importance of this day and its great impact on the lives of Muslims. In his speech, he addressed the values of tolerance and love that the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, called for, and pointed out the importance of applying these values in our daily lives and in our societies. He concluded his speech by offering congratulations and wishes on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, expressing his hope for the continuation of this positive spirit in the Center and in our society in general. The Head of the Culture Committee at the Center expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone for their interaction and active participation in this celebration. At the end of the ceremony, this celebration reflected the spirit of solidarity and cooperation and the promotion of the values of tolerance and understanding that Islam calls for.
