Mr. Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, makes an inspection visit to the center’s main library to inspect the library’s workflow mechanism and review what is available in terms of books, dissertations, dissertations and scientific production in various disciplines in order to shorten time and effort, support the scientific process and advance scientific research in general. .

 During the course of the visit, the librarian, Mr. Zaki Al-Moussawi, stated that the center’s library is interested in the fields of marine sciences, especially the topics of marine biology, marine environment, marine geology, marine chemistry, marine physics, pollution, ichthyology, vertebrates, nutrition, and ecology. The publications contained therein vary between books, scientific journals, and maps. There are currently 1,475 Arabic books in the library, 5,336 foreign books, 1,112 Arab periodicals, 38,246 foreign periodicals, and 599 references, in addition to books on the Shatt al-Arab, which include 488 books, 396 theses, and 4,742 reports.

 His Excellency praised the efforts made by the library staff and ended his visit by thanking and praising those working in the library.
