Marine Sciences Center at Basra University “A scientific beacon illuminating the shores of Iraq”

Researcher (Dr. Wissam Razzaq Mutashar) at the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra publishes an article in Hadith Al-Basra magazine in its third issue of 2024 entitled “The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra: “A scientific beacon that illuminates the shores of Iraq.”

The article highlighted the major and unique role played by the Center in preparing research and studies related to marine sciences, coastal sciences, and wetlands of the Mesopotamia basin and the Arabian Gulf region, as well as the contributions in the field of environmental awareness and major scientific consultations provided to governmental and non-governmental institutions.

The article dealt with introducing the scientific departments of the center, the visions, and the goals that each department seeks to achieve.

This article came in response to the invitation from Hadith Basra magazine to Dr. Wissam Razzaq Mutashar to write about this unique scientific edifice at our Al-Gharaa University, with the approval of the center’s administration, for the purpose of introducing readers to the history and role of the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra in particular, and Iraq and the region in general.
