The University of Basra holds a lecture on the effect of silver nanoparticles against biofilm

The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra held a lecture on the effect of silver nanoparticles against biofilm
The aim of the lecture is how silver nanoparticles manufactured using green methods work and to know the anti-biofilm activity, as these particles work to stick to and penetrate biofilms and then destroy them.
The lecture, presented by researcher Shaima Awad Bejay from the Department of Marine Chemistry, included learning about nanoscience, its history, and the first scientists who contributed to its development and definition.
The lecture discussed methods of manufacturing nanomaterials, how to diagnose them, what tests are necessary for diagnosis, and the most important medical and environmental fields used in the applications of nanomaterials as an effective substance against biofilm and against infections resulting from infection with pathogenic bacteria, and the use of nanomaterials as a water sterilizer and its use for biotreatment to remove heavy metals from wastewater.
