A researcher from the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra participates in the symposium on climate change and environmental impacts

 

In the presence of the Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, and the respected Head of the Department of Biological Evolution, Prof. Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed. A researcher at the University of Basra participates in the symposium on climate change and environmental impacts. The researcher at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basra (Professor Abdul Amir Rahim Jassim) participated in the symposium on climate change and environmental impacts, which was held at the Marine Science Center. Participation included giving a lecture entitled (Aquatic Life Diseases and Climate Changes). The lecture shed light on the direct and indirect effects of climate change and their relationship to diseases of fish and aquatic organisms. The lecture discussed the ways in which climate changes, such as global warming and ocean acidification, affect the ecosystem in the oceans and seas, and the interactions of these effects with the health of aquatic organisms, especially diseases of various types of fish. The lecture included three main topics: The impact of global warming on aquatic organisms The impact of global warming on the environment of aquatic organisms The impact of global warming on pathogens The lecture aimed to introduce the damage and effects of climate change and its complex interactions in affecting the health of aquatic organisms.
