Participation of a researcher from the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra in a regular meeting of the Natural Reserve Management Committee of the Eastern Hamar Marsh with the GIZ organization

 

Training researcher Prof. Dr. Abdel-Zahra Abdel-Rasoul Al-Helu at the Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra, member of the Natural Reserves Management Committee / Basra Governorate, participates in a regular meeting of the Natural Reserves Management Committee for the Eastern Hamar Marsh with the GIZ organization and in the presence of the Administrative Deputy of the Governor of Basra, Al-Sabd Maher Al-Amiri, to discuss Assisting the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in adapting to climate change is part of the ISCAP project (implemented by this organization), where a meeting was held with one of the German international organizations and discussions with them about climate change and its impact on the marsh environment and developing solutions for these areas by preserving water sources and establishing experimental projects. Through it, providing job opportunities for the people of these areas, and holding educational seminars for all areas close to wetlands represented by the marshes falling under the Global Tract List, as well as the specialized Ramsar network that monitors the environmental and biological diversity of these areas.
