The Culture and Society Committee at the Marine Science Center/University of Basra held a memorial celebration on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). The ceremony included a reading of the Holy Qur’an by Al-Qari Mullah Tahseen Al-Saymari and a lecture given by Sheikh and preacher Al-Husseini Aqeel Al-Abadi, one of the professors of the seminary, in the presence of a group of professors and employees.
