The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra hosted students from the international-standard Al-Hartha public primary school
The visit aimed to introduce fifth-grade primary school students to the laboratory activities and activities taking place at the center
The Head of the Marine Biology Department, Dr. Murtada Dabej Nasser, welcomed the school’s teaching staff. Dr. Ibtisam Mahdi Abdel-Sahib, Dr. Amal Ghazi, and Ms. Hanan Abdel-Zahra gave introductory lectures on the nature of the department’s work and its laboratories, along with displaying some models of invertebrate biology, in addition to what was presented by Dr. Muhannad Taher Kazem from Information about some of the devices used to measure sediments in the Sedimentology and Marine Bottoms Department.
