Media of the Marine Sciences Center

From the principle of cooperation with international universities and based on the directives of the Honorable President of the University of Basra, and after memorandums of cooperation were signed between the University of Basra and Iranian universities within the activities of Science Week between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, Professor Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, Professor Uday Muhammad Hassan, and the graduate student, teacher Fawzi Mustafa Hamid, were sent to the Aquaculture Research Institute in Iran
The visit aimed to cooperate in the field of marine aquaculture and hold training courses on fish farming, as well as agreeing on the joint supervision of a doctoral student, M.M. Fawzi Mustafa Hamid about the cultivation and breeding of Subaiti fish (Sparidentex hasta).
At the end of the meeting, the Director General of the Marine Science Center presented the included gifts to the Director of the Aquaculture Research Institute

2. Freshwater fishes of Iraq book.
3. The book “Biodiversity of the inland waters of Basrah”.
4. Book of birds of the intertidal mudflats in Khor Al-Zubair, Umm Qasr, Basra, Iraq.
