 Within the requirements of the completion of the scientific research plan for the Marine Science Centre at the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Huda Kazem Ahmed, Prof. Hana Hussein Muhammad, and Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed carried out a field trip to the Eastern Hammar Marsh, as it is one of the important wetland ecosystem located within the components of  World Heritage, in order to view the environmental condition of the area directly in the field, identify and choosing stations for collecting samples, and take notes for scientific research.
