The Center for Marine Sciences at the University of Basra organizes a lecture on Khawr Abdullah

 

Prof. Dr. Hassan Khalil Hassan from the Department of Marine Sedimentology gave a lecture entitled Khawr Abdullah: Natural Complexities and Border Problems

The lecture explained the coastal poverty and marine deprivation suffered by Iraq due to the shortness of the Iraqi coast on the Arabian Gulf, and that the oceanographic (marine) conditions caused geographical damage to Iraq, and the damage to Iraq due to sedimentary conditions in the coastal region is a fact and axiom, as it affected the geographical characteristics (the shortness of the coastal extension - Coastal concavity - the presence of geographical features whose coasts meet with the coasts of neighboring countries within short distances (in the process of drawing its maritime borders with its neighboring countries, and seven countries fall under the category of geographical damage: ((Bahrain, Cameroon, Iraq, Jordan, Singapore, Zaire, and Uzbekistan) ).
