The Department of Vertebrates at the Marine Sciences Center organized a seminar on the artificial propagation of fish and the care of larvae

The seminar that Dr. Faleh Musa Jaafar presented focused on increasing the local fish that are economically important and threatened with extinction and the necessity of supplying water bodies with larvae to increase the fish stock.

The seminar dealt with the artificial proliferation of common carp as a model for breeding fish and providing the required larvae at any time, and providing a suitable environment for breeding.

The seminar also focused on the necessity of conducting experiments of genetic improvement and crossbreeding operations, as artificial propagation is an essential aspect of the fish industry.
