University of Basra Participates in the First Meeting of the Ministerial Group on Biodiversity
The Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basra participated in the first meeting of the Ministerial Task Force on Biodiversity.
The primary objective of this participation was to represent the marine sector and provide the scientific expertise necessary to support the process of collecting national biodiversity indicators, thereby ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of data related to the marine environment.
The participation included the attendance of Dr. Abdul-Amir Rahim Jassim, Director General of the Marine Sciences Center,
and a discussion of the Marine Sciences Center’s role in providing the marine data and information necessary for the success of the National Strategy project.
