University of Basra Discusses Strengthening the Role of the Industrial Advisory Office and Developing Its Working Mechanisms

During its regular meeting, attended by members of the board alongside representatives from the private sector, the Industrial Advisory Office of the Centre for Marine Sciences at the University of Basra discussed future plans to develop its work.

The meeting addressed a number of topics relating to strengthening the role of the Industrial Advisory Office and enhancing its contribution to supporting and developing the Centre by broadening the scope of cooperation with the private sector and drawing on its expertise and capabilities, thereby helping to achieve the Centre’s objectives and fulfil its role in serving the community.

Those present emphasised the importance of working to achieve practical and positive outcomes that would help advance the Council’s work and activate its advisory functions, whilst noting that making the best possible use of the Council’s potential requires the provision of the necessary foundational elements, in line with the applicable regulations and guidelines governing its work, so as to meet the needs of the Marine Sciences Centre and strengthen its scientific and advisory roles.
