
The Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, University of Basra, announced the acceptance of registration of the Iraqi Aquaculture Journal in the special search engine (DOAJ) (Directory of open Access Journals). The Director General said that registering the journal within this engine, which includes only solid scientific journals, facilitates the necessary steps to enter the global databases, as this classification works to evaluate the integrity of journals by evaluating the quality of research published within its issues, increasing its impact factor, transparency, and referring to it by researchers. From different countries of the world. For his part, the head of the editorial board, Prof. Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed, indicated that the magazine issues two issues annually and includes various research in the fields of aquatic organisms, wetlands, and aquatic plants. It also relies in evaluating the research on experts from outside and inside Iraq from different universities, stressing the continuation of achieving Conditions required to enter the Scopus global inventory. It is worth noting that the magazine began publishing its issues twenty years ago, and it currently operates on the OJS electronic publishing system and includes on its editorial board specialized professors from reputable foreign and Arab universities.
