A visit by the Director General of the Marine Science Center to see the reality of work to establish a closed system laboratory for aquaculture

 

The Director General of the Marine Sciences Center, the respected Prof. Dr. Shaker Ghaleb Ajeel, conducted a field visit to see the reality of work on establishing a closed system laboratory for aquaculture.

The visit of the Director-General included following up on the progress of work in completing the work on establishing the laboratory and simplifying the work procedures in a way that contributes to facilitating the construction process, in addition to his meeting with the head of the Department of Biological Evolution, Prof. Dr. Arafat Rajab Ahmed, to overcome the obstacles related to them. In order to speed up the completion of the work and according to the plan and time specified for its construction in a better manner

The Director General directed the necessity of accelerating the establishment of the laboratory because of its importance to researchers and those interested. It is considered the first of its kind at the level of Iraqi universities and research centers specialized in the field of raising and propagating aquatic organisms for the purpose of carrying out scientific studies related to aquaculture in its various aspects. The system was designed according to internationally approved specifications and using materials available in Local markets.
