
The researcher from the Marine Sciences Center, Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Ali Al-Mohi from the Department of Physics and Marine Estuaries, participated in the scientific workshop set up by the College of Engineering in cooperation with the Southern Oil Company (Future Prospects for the Gas Industry in Iraq). The researcher also gave some recommendations to the workshop, including setting up a program to take advantage of natural gas and not burn it, and it is necessary to think seriously to benefit from renewable energies as clean energy.It is environmentally friendly as an alternative to using natural gas in all fields of life, measuring the emission of pollutant gases to the air and issuing warning bulletins to people in the event that their concentrations in the air exceed the permissible limit. In addition to placing the burning system at a safe distance from residential areas, and at the end of the workshop the participant was awarded a shield with a certificate of appreciation
