I researched a scientific study at the University of Basra prepared by Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Ridha al-Dawji and Dr. Abd al-Husayn Jaafar Abdullah, the two teaching staff at the Marine Science Center, which was published in the Eco.Env.Cons magazine.  Classified within Scopus containers Q4 Effect of petroleum hydrocarbons, heavy metals and physicochemical properties and their relationship to the diversity and abundance of fish in the waters of the Karma Ali River.  The results of the study showed that the rate of electrical conductivity and TDS was higher than the permissible limit during the month of August 2020, and the rate of fish diversity was greatly affected by the wide range of these specific factors.
