Marine Science Center announcements/
Under the guidance of the Director General of the Marine Science Center, Prof. Dr. Nuri Abdel Nabi Nasser, Dr. Halima Jabbar was able to transform a swamp for dumping waste into a small reserve that simulates the water of the marshes with plants that resist salinity. Dr. Halima explained that this work is a cycle of recycling and using wastewater that contains organic matter to water the plants instead of adding fertilizers, while the plants clean the water and give oxygen. This small project can be circulated to the seven polluted rivers that flow into the Shatt al-Arab, which threatens The life of the population and its transformation into a healthy environment after treatment and use for irrigation in the event of a shortage of water resources
