The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra held a workshop on (Shatt Al-Arab and Environmental Challenges)

 In the presence of all relevant and specialized authorities in the environmental, oil and fish fields
 The activities of the workshop began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, after which Surat Al-Fatihah was read and gifted to our righteous martyrs. The Director General of the Marine Science Center, Professor Dr. Nuri Abdulnabi Nasser, gave his speech in this workshop and referred to the lectures that were presented that revolve around the environmental reality, oil pollution and levels of heavy elements, indicating  Its environmental impacts in the Shatt al-Arab and work to find solutions to these problems, he also praised the organizers of this workshop.

 During the symposium, lectures were presented on the quality of water and solid materials, in addition to the topic of environmental pollution and toxic materials.
 In addition, at the end of the workshop, recommendations and suggestions will be written.
