The instructor at the Center for Marine Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Khalil Hassan, participated in an international workshop on the implications of changing the maritime territorial boundaries, which was held virtually on the platform of the Ghadq Foundation for Public Services and Development
The participation included giving a lecture entitled Morphological Changes in the Iraqi Regional Waters and their Border Implications. The lecture included the topic of Iraqi borders and the effect of river sedimentation on the continuous change in regional boundaries and the determination of the minimum sea level, as well as determining the places of erosion and sedimentation and the extent of their impact on biological diversity after the construction of the breakwater in addition to their impact on Port investment
