The Marine Sciences Center held a workshop under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and under the supervision of the Director General of the Center for Marine Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nuri Abdul Nabi Nasser, in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Protection and Improvement of the Southern Region and in coordination with the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (Kuwait) ROPME and with the support of the Mutual Aid Center for Maritime Emergencies (MEMAC), the Director General welcomed the participants to the session and praised him for the interest of the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment. After that, Dr. Jassim Bishara, Acting Executive Secretary, Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment gave his speech.
