The Marine Science Center at the University of Basra organized an introductory course on the tasks of the University Technology Incubator.

The course, which was lectured by Dr. Hind Mahdi Jarallah, aimed to draw the government's attention to supporting emerging scientific energies and explaining the importance of the presence of technology incubators in societies, which are one of the important scientific means in developed countries due to their contribution to spreading knowledge and encouraging creative ideas and research.

The course included discussing the mechanism of work of technology incubators, starting with emphasizing entrepreneurship, creating leaders, providing financial support for projects, how to access funding sources, providing legal support, and opening communication networks between researchers in order to exchange ideas and advice, and ending with marketing the incubator's products to government institutions, companies, and private projects to contribute to feeding the Iraqi economy sector with new resources and raising the gross domestic product.
